David Wang initiated Melbourne's Chinatown project

As a leader in the Chinese community, David Wang initiated Melbourne's Chinatown project in 1960 with the idea of making Chinatown a distinct and attractive precinct. He would devote considerable energy to this later as a Councilor on the Melbourne City Council. Photo c. The Age 5.1.1960.
