Chinese coming to Victoria in 1850s landed in Robe, South Australia

Many Chinese coming to Victoria during the 1850s gold rush, including Mabel Wang's grandfather Chen Ah Kew, landed in Robe, South Australia, to avoid paying the Victorian poll tax, then trekked 500 kilometers back to the goldfields.
